Before you touch the airplane, your instructor walks you through the route, the controls, and exactly what you'll be doing up there. No jargon, no assumptions about what you already know.
You inspect the aircraft alongside your instructor, fuel, oil, control surfaces, tires. The same checks every pilot runs before every flight, and you'll run them yourself.
This isn't a ride-along. Your hands are on the yoke and you're flying the airplane, with your instructor right beside you on the dual controls the whole time.
Back on the ground you go over how the flight went, and your instructor signs your first logbook entry. If you continue with training, that time counts toward your Private Pilot certificate.
You leave with an Aviator Zone Discovery Flight certificate, yours to keep, whether this is day one of a career or a one-time item off the list.
Counts toward Private Pilot training if you continue. Price paid never expires; sales are final and nonrefundable.

About 45 minutes apart by car - pick whichever is closer to you. The Cessna 152 and the Cessna 172 G1000 NXi fly out of Miami Executive (KTMB) only, and the 152 has a 145 lb weight limit.
Programs start at $10,470. Today's flight time counts toward it.
