Community Day 2025 at North Perry Airport

Written by Felipe Santiago | Nov 17, 2025

This past weekend, Aviator Zone Academy had the opportunity to participate in Airport Day at North Perry Airport, and it was nothing short of inspiring. For those unfamiliar with the event, Airport Day is a community-driven gathering designed to bring people together from all stages of their aviation journey. Whether you're just starting out or already deep into your career, there's something here for everyone.

For new or potential students, Airport Day is the perfect chance to explore what flight training is all about. Multiple flight schools, including ours, were present to answer questions, share insights, and help future aviators take their first steps. It’s one thing to research online, but being able to speak face-to-face with instructors and current students adds a whole new level of clarity and excitement.

On the other end of the spectrum, pilots who are nearing the end of their training/time-building phase had the chance to connect with airline representatives. These conversations can be pivotal, sometimes even leading to job opportunities or mentorships that help bridge the gap between training and professional flying.

The energy at North Perry was electric. Families, students, pilots, and aviation enthusiasts all came together to celebrate flight. For Aviator Zone Academy, it was a chance to meet future students, reconnect with alumni, and share our passion for aviation with the community.

We’re grateful to have been part of such a meaningful event and look forward to continuing to support aspiring aviators in their journey whether it starts with a question at a booth or a first flight in one of our aircraft!

Why You Should Attend Airport Day 2026

Airport Day isn’t just a community event, it’s an opportunity for anyone serious about entering the aviation industry. Whether you're exploring flight training, comparing schools, or planning your path to the airlines, this event gives you direct access to the tools, people, and insights that matter.

  • Meet Certified Flight Instructors: Talk to the professionals who will guide your training. Learn about their backgrounds, teaching styles, and how they help students progress toward commercial ratings.

  • Understand the Training Pipeline: Get clarity on how Aviator Zone Academy structures its programs — from Private Pilot License to Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, and CFI. Know what to expect, how long it takes, and what it costs.

  • Tour the Fleet and Facilities: See the aircraft you'll be flying. Ask about maintenance standards, dispatch systems, and simulator access — all of which impact your training quality and safety.

  • Talk to Current Students: Hear firsthand what the day-to-day training experience is like. Ask about scheduling flexibility, instructor availability, and how the Academy supports students through checkrides and beyond.

  • Career Path Guidance: Learn how Aviator Zone Academy helps students transition to airline cadet programs, charter jobs, or flight instructor roles. Ask about partnerships, job placement support, and alumni success stories. This year, regional airlines like Republic Airways, Piedmont, and PSA were in attendance, offering aspiring pilots a chance to network directly with recruiters. These connections can lead to mentorship opportunities, interview prep, and even conditional job offers giving you a head start toward your airline career.
